How Project Tasks Work

The Project Tasks feature adds an extra layer of detail to your projects. When enabled, you can organise projects into specific tasks, making it simple for employees to log their time with precision. For each timesheet entry, team members select:

Client
Project
Project Task
Activity Type

This structured approach ensures accurate time tracking while providing deeper insights into your team’s productivity.

Enabling Project Tasks

Getting started is simple:

Head to Settings → Project Tasks in your 1time account.
Check the box for “Use Project Tasks”.
Click Save.

Now, whenever you create a new project, you’ll have the option to include tasks for better organisation and tracking.

Standard vs. Custom Tasks

1time lets you customise tasks to suit your workflow:

Standard Tasks:
If your projects often share similar tasks, you can create standard tasks from the Settings → Project Tasks screen. These predefined tasks are reusable across multiple projects, saving time and maintaining consistency.
Custom Tasks:
For projects with unique requirements, you can add tasks directly from the Project Details screen. This flexibility ensures that every project is tailored to its specific needs.
